The Punjab government has announced a monthly honorarium of Rs. 25,000 for Imams across the province as part of an initiative to support mosque leadership and ensure a transparent and organized system.
Imams are instructed to complete the prescribed registration form and submit it along with a copy of their national identity card and a GPS-tagged photograph of their mosque to verify accurate details.
For those who missed the initial registration phase, the government has launched Phase Two of the registration process. Eligible Imams can visit the designated desks set up at their respective District Auqaf Offices or Deputy Commissioner’s offices for assistance.
Additionally, to promote transparency and convenience, Imams can also upload their information through a mobile application or an online portal. The government has stated that this system aims to ensure all eligible Imams receive their honorarium fairly and on time.
